FAQs
Q. From which US state will my item ship?
A. The great State of Montana.
Q. When will my item ship?
A. We will try our best to ship your in-stock order within 3-5 business days. You will receive a shipping notification via email when your order is fulfilled. Please note that the tracking might not update for up to 48 hours.
If your parcel is due to be shipped on a day when the US postal service is closed (i.e., national holidays), your parcel will be shipped the following business day.
Q. What if my address is not correct on my order?
A. Please contact us immediately to update/correct your address. If the order has already shipped, the buyer assumes all liability if the parcel is delivered to an incorrect address. No refunds will be provided if the buyer notes an incorrect address.
Q. Does my order come with tracking and/or insurance?
A. US First Class Mail is not insured. US Priority Mail includes $50 of shipping insurance. Tracking within the United States is available and will be sent to your email once shipped.
Q. What if my package is lost or delayed in the shipping process?
A. We are not responsible for lost packages or shipping delays. We are not a shipping company. Once we place a package in the US postal service for shipment, the specific shipment process is beyond our control. Claims for lost or delayed shipments must be filed by the buyer through the US Postal Service. Pursuant to USPS guidelines, once the package is picked up by the postal service, the ownership of the package belongs to the buyer. We have no control over USPS claims filed since we are no longer considered the owner(s) of the package.
Q. Can I return my order?
A. You may return any item within fourteen (14) days of receiving it; however, all items returned must be in their original packaging and undamaged. Returns are refunded once received. Unless the error was ours or the product was damaged upon receiving it, the buyer is responsible for return shipping expenses.
Q. Will you cake up my skeins?
A. We will wind your skein(s) into a cake for $3 per skein (See our Yarn Winding Service).
Q. My yarn is bleeding; is that normal?
A. Our yarn is dyed with a process that eliminates almost all bleeding of the dyes, but some of the more saturated colors (i.e., red, turquoise) may bleed slightly. Try soaking our hand knits for 5-10 minutes in cold water, and then lay them flat to dry.
Q. How should I wash my hand knits?
A. You may hand wash your hand knits in cold water with or without a wool wash. Superwash yarns can be machine laundered, but we recommend using a gentle cycle and cold water. Lay the item flat to dry. Do not use a machine dryer.
Q. Why does my colorway look different from the photo on the listing?
A. Small batch, hand dyeing produces varied results. Every skein dyed by us is unique. Unless you receive the exact skein that was photographed, items you purchased from our store will have their own color variations and shifts. Computer monitors also vary greatly.
Q. I own a local yarn shop. Do you sell your yarn on a wholesale basis?
A. We will be happy to discuss our wholesale business with your store. Please email us at twosistersyarnco@gmail.com.
