The sisters have been very busy dyeing yarn, so we have not entered any blog posts lately. We are still learning the process of dyeing self-striping yarn. It turns out to be a very involved process. We have been experimenting with hand painting recently, and we love the effects of hand painting the dye on the yarn. Here is another one of our colorways — it’s called “Stained Glass Masquerade,” named after a song by the Christian band Casting Crowns. Mixing the black and grey stripes with the primary color stripes reminded us of stained glass. There are six stripes that are each about 4 knitted rows wide, depending on one’s gauge. Well, back to more dyeing . . . Hopefully, you will hear from us again soon.
